Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to the 2005 KIDS Baseball State Championship. Your tournament host is one of many KIDS Baseball Affiliate through-out the USA. It will be the goal of the host and KIDS Baseball to create an experience that the players, coaches and families will remember forever. Your team must be A Registered KIDS Team to enter the KIDS State Championship. You will register your team with the KIDS Baseball State Headquarters in the appropriate age and appropriate division of play. The State Headquarters will then forward all entries to the Host Site.

The KIDS Baseball State Championship will have a three (3) game guarantee if weather permits or if other acts of God do not allow this to happen in the time frame given for the State Championship. Number of entries will dictate the exact format. The Tournament Director in conjunction with the State Director will determine the format. Tournament format may be amended after the event begins due to weather or other acts of God.

Rain Delay Policy: If the event receives rain and causes delays and/or suspended games, the following may happen but not limited to the following: Game Times/Innings Shortened, Games Not Played, Days added to the Event, Others depending on the circumstances.

Your team's ENTRY FORM, ROSTER ON-LINE and cashier's check or money order for the entry fee MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE STATE HEADQUARTERS TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT. ALL ROSTERS MUST BE ENTERED ON-LINE FOR A TEAM TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. All deadlines for the State Championship is 5:00PM One week before the start date of the event.

THE ROSTER IS REQUIRED TO BE INPUT ON-LINE AT TEAM REGISTRATION

KIDS Baseball offers two(2) weekends for the "AAA" and "Major" State Championship Teams.
TEAMS MAY PLAY IN EITHER EVENT BUT NOT BOTH.

ENTRY FORM

Please review the KIDS RULES OF CONDUCT.

All players participating in a KIDS Baseball tournament play shall have photocopies of their original birth certificates or KIDS approved ID in the possession of their team manager. Failure to have a copy of the birth certificate or KIDS approved ID available upon demand will result in the offending team losing the game, being ejected from the tournament, being placed last in the standings and forfeiting all awards and tournament berths they would have been awarded at the tournament.

NOTE:

1. The Cut-off Date for all ages is August 1 of the current season. Whatever age a player is on July 31 of the current season is the age the child must play.

2. Any player can play in a higher age classification but cannot play in a lower age group.

3. All players must be similarly dressed.

5. Managers and coaches must wear a baseball cap with team insignia and will be properly dressed. (Coaches may wear coaches' shorts " approved " ).

6. While in the field, as a defensive player, team caps must be worn correctly.

7. Protest on uniforms will not be allowed. It shall be the Tournament Directors responsibility regarding uniform legality. Violation of the uniform rule will result in the violator being allowed to conform or be removed from the game.

8. Metal spikes are prohibited in age groups 5-9.

9. A full-use batting helmet which covers the top and back of the head and the side of the face must be worn by every player while in the on deck circle, when at bat and while on the bases.

10. All bat boys/girls will wear full-use batting helmets when their team is at bat.

11. Suspended games will be resumed from the exact point of suspension.

12. Ages 7-18 - The catcher must wear protective gear: Mask, chest protector, shin guards, protective cup, catchers helmet and throat guard. Ages 5-12 - Catchers must wear helmet that fully covers their ears. (Except T-Ball)

13. All playing rules not specifically covered above shall be governed by the Kids baseball Handbook and the National League rules for Major League Baseball.

Game Schedules WILL NOT be mailed out in advance.
Game times will be distributed to the Managers.

So that there are no discrepancies, don't forget that you need 1 game ball per game. This is a 15/16-under tournament. As you know or don't, we are only raising funds to proceed the 2005/2006 baseball program, and appreciate your teams support. Thanks to Kevin & the So Cal Nitros for there support as we know they had other commitments but entered this tourney to support a great cause. We also have a squad driving in from Hemet and we thank them also Special thanks to the Cal Bandits & SGV Sluggers.

We will be having a no ice chest policy on this complex this weekend other than for team dugouts ( this is not mandatory, but your support is appreciated) We will have a full snack-bar on site with lots of food at great prices. We will have tacos, burritos, breakfast plates, dinner plates, dogs and all that other good stuff.

Major league rules in effect

Exception 1. You can bat 9 + EH Or entire line-up (Please notify other team/blue)

2. You can run for pitcher/catcher at any time to speed up game with last-out or sub only

3. Unsportsmanlike conduct or taunting will not be tolerated PERIOD

Tie Breakers

Head to head will not be in effect this weekend because in pool play not all teams will play each other. Here is how it will be decided

Awards will be given to 1st and second place teams. Individual Team trophy + 15 medals per each squad.

Finally for the squads that will pay on-site, your fees are $375.00
