1. Length of games: 1:45
hr no new inning) Once an inning has started it must be completed, Any
game stopped due to weather, light issues, or field safety,
and cannot be completed, will revert back to the last
completed inning of play. (Championship game has no time
limits).
2. Forfeits: Teams must be
ready to start the game 30 minutes prior to your scheduled game time. Any team not
ready to play when head umpire calls play ball is subject to a
forfeit. Once a forfeit is called that game is concluded and a
score of 3 - 2 will be given.
(* Exception at the
discretion of KIDS Baseball)
3. Teams will be allowed to
start and play with an eight player lineup.
Eight player team will
automatically become the visiting team . The 9th batters first
appearance will be considered an out one time
only
4. Championship Game: In the
event that the Championship game cannot be played, the winner will be decided as
follows. (1) Head to Head in tournament play (2) The higher
seed in tournament play. If the Championship game has started
but is unable to be completed, the game will revert to the
last completed inning to decide the winner. Please understand
our goal is to have the best two teams play the championship
game to it’s entirety, however if this is not possible, please
respect the rules set forth.
5. Run rule is fifteen after
one, twelve after two, ten after three innings
and eight after four innings
for all divisions. A manager or coach may concede or call no
joy to conclude the championship game.
6. A designated runner will be
allowed for catcher or pitcher of record only with
one or more outs, runners must
not be in the batting lineup, **Exception batting complete
roster your last recorded out "only 9 players"
.
7. Free Defensive
Substitutions at any time. Exception ; pitcher, see 9b.
8. Batting lineup may
consist of 9 or 10 batters. Any substitution of the
batting lineup NOT
announced prior to taking the first pitch of his or her at bat
will be considered batting out of order and will result in a
called out. Once a batter has reached first base that batter
now assumes that batting position. You must ANNOUNCE all
substitutions to the head umpire. The chief umpire will
announce all substitution to both teams " Please Read and
understand this rule "
9a. Pitching Limitations: No
pitching limitations. Play it Smart and Safe!!
9b. *A pitcher once removed from the
pitchers mound may not return to the pitchers mound in the
same game.
10. Time outs 1 per offense
team. Pitchers, one trip per inning and second
trip in the same inning
pitcher must be removed (exception: injury to player) Please
have time out before you step onto the
field.
11. Tie- Breakers (1) Head to
Head (2) Total runs allowed ( RA) (3) Total
runs scored ( RS). If your
pool has an uneven amount of teams and ends in a three way tie
for championship seating the three teams will take there
records head to head and if you have two teams that have not
played each other, then you have a one game playoff to show
the best amongst those three teams only, and yes this could
cause pitching problems and a disadvantaged to those two teams
trying to transfer, but your transfer will be decided on the
field.
12. Tie games will count in
Pool play only, please understand we cannot
get behind on our next scheduled game, due
to going into extra innings. Games cannot break into extra innings at any time.
(*Exception Championship Game )
13. All Protests must be
decided “on-the-field” !! Only managers may protest,
do not come out and argue a call without a
rule being stated, Timeout may be called to confer with both umpires. All
decisions are final.
14. Surrender: Teams are not
permitted to “surrender” during the course
of any tournament game. Should a manager
remove his team from the field, or quit, prior to the completion of any
tournament game, that team is disqualified from all further participation in the
tournament- and may be prohibited from in any future events (at the discretion
of KIDS Baseball).
15. Format Alterations: All
KIDS Tournament directors reserve the right
to alter, change, or abbreviate tournament
formats, when necessary, in order to complete the tournament.
16. Fighting: Should any
player, coach, or team member take part in
any fighting, those individuals shall be
ejected from the event on the first occurrence. If any member of said team becomes involved
in a second incident of fighting, the entire team will ejected from
the event and subject to suspension by KIDS Baseball.
17. No Infields practice will
be allowed before each game.
18. Intentional walks : four
pitches must be made to the batter.
19. Foul Balls: Each team will
be responsible for foul balls on their side,
including balls hit into the bullpen,
stands and/or around the complex. Because we do not have an unlimited amount of game
balls to provide, while your team is batting your team will be
responsible for replacing all foul balls lost or un returnable.
20. Uniforms: Players must be
uniformed with non-duplicating numbers. Note: a select All-Star team may wear assort
team jersey
as long as no duplicating numbers appear)
All jersey must have a number.
21. Teams may be required to
play 3 games in a single day.
22. Cleats: Players will be
allowed to use metal cleats during event play
in any division from 12u and
above.
23. Teams are required to keep
dugouts clean before, during & after
games.
24. All additions and/or
released players will be posted on the official
KIDS website www.kidsbaseball.org. Changes
must be submitted in writing to league officials.

25. You must submit a complete
team roster, a copy of proof of insurance,
and a copy of birth certificates for every
player. By not completing these forms, your team will be expelled from event : No
excuses. Roster additions maybe made up until 72 hrs prior to Start of
the event. You must be checked off by a director before that team starts
the first game of the event. Teams will also be required to keep copies of
the birth certificates with them at all events.
26. Teams are required to
submit finals scores via email to info@kidsbaseball.org,
within the same
day as the games. when emailing, you
may write up a game summary that we will post on the website.
27. Use of tobacco products is
prohibited on all fields and in the dugouts
at all times.
28. “No injury should be
ignored” common injuries seldom receive
prompt care because of what they are---
common. There’s a tendency to “walk-off” sprained ankles or “work through” muscle
bruises and cramps. These conditions are often mishandled; or even worse,
they’re ignored until they turn into chronic condition, which can ruin
performance and enjoyment of the game.
29. No Refunds for any reason.
Once you have registered, KIDS
Baseball has a commitment to you and your team. KIDS Baseball
will expect the same commitment from you and your team. Please do not
register until you and your team are committed to are
event.
30. Ejected for any reason
he/she may not participate in next game, (*Exception at the
discretion of KIDS Baseball) even if it’s following
back-to-back game or if it’s following day. Basically you get 1 game
suspension. If you get ejected from the first game on and you still
have 1 more game to play that day, you cannot be in the dugout or
participate in any way with the next game. But you can come back the following
game after that 1 suspended game. If you have a problem with this
call, do not get
ejected. Please note that this applies to
fans/parents and players too. If same person (player, parent, coach, fan etc.) is
ejected for any reason a second time in the same tournament, he/she may not
return to any of the tournament games or
fields/properties.
31. Please understand that all
of the players are still kids, so when we
say we play “professional rules”, this does
not mean that head hunting the catcher on a play at home will be tolerated. If the
blue/ump feels that
the play at home was unnecessary that
player may be ejected from the
game.
32. Sandbagging: K.I.D.S. will
not tolerate talented teams “sandbagging”
playing down, or participating within a
division where they do not belong, just to obtain trophies or Championships in a
level they do not belong in. KIDS will closely monitor results throughout
the tournament or event. K.I.D.S. may, at it’s discretion, re-classify a
team and eject a manager if for any reason K.I.D.S. deems a team
Sandbagging.
33. No Show / Surrender: Any
team that fails to show for a
scheduled K.I.D.S. tournament or event game, unless a team
medical emergency can be immediately verified and documented, can be
disqualified from further participation in the tournament, you cannot quit or
step off the field and advance to the next level of play.
34.
Absolutely no refund for rain outs. All rain out tournaments
will be re-schedule if
possible.
